Ellipsis recently had the pleasure of working with (Dr.) Tom and Lauren Williams on their new space in Chicago's Lincoln Park neighborhood. Ellipsis had the good fortune of being asked to join the exciting startup team for the Roots Family Chiropractic practice during the early stages of the business' inception. Working within - and in support of - the company's strong brand message, the goal was to design a space that was simple, fresh, comfortable and approachable; a space where patients and the community they had begun to build would feel at home. This translated into an earthy color palette with clean materials, and a clear delineation between social spaces and treatment spaces.

Working with clients in the health + wellness industries is one of our passions. Our inspiring clients for these projects are the people who have dedicated their lives to improving the quality of how others live and work. These projects challenge us to create spaces that welcome, embrace and comfort while, at the same time satisfy a myriad of careful and specific functional requirements. When designing a medical facility, we apply detailed focus to how the environments we create facilitate a clean and efficient sequence of events throughout a day and we are tasked with helping our clients' patients shed their anxiety and embrace their journey towards wellness.

This project concluded in the summer of 2016 and we were very excited by the response from both the ownership, staff and their patient community. As with all projects, we crave feedback and strive to constantly evolve in response to it. It's been a genuine pleasure to circle back with our friends at Roots since completing the renovation of their space. We recently asked the Owners, Dr. & Mrs. Tom and Lauren Williams for their thoughts on the new facility, how it works in support of their new business, how their patients have responded to the space and how happy the Roots staff has been with the relationship they've built with Ellipsis. We asked Tom & Lauren to provide their honest thoughts on the project and their satisfaction with Ellipsis. Here's what they said:

Where do we even start with writing this review?! Ellipsis was nothing short of amazing! Our dreams came to life with the look our office, and we owe it all to Ellipsis! They were personable, flexible, and caring when it came to working with us. They took our ideas and made them even better than we could have ever imagined. Our office is the typical “Chicago space”, long and narrow, and they allowed us to be creative yet still give the space an open and spacious feel. From paint colors, vibe, and architectural design- they nailed it! They even made a point to come see our space a week after our opening just to make sure everything was going smoothly. We don’t know many other companies who would do that!

Ellipsis- we can’t thank you enough! You have gone from business partners to friends and for that, we are very thankful.

Roots recently hosted their exciting open house which brought out a fantastic showing of great friends, family, neighbors, patients and project team members.
