Underscoring a Legacy

Ellipsis was afforded a very unique opportunity recently to lead the redesign of a long-standing staple on the University of Chicago campus. We will be working hard over the next year to update a classic brick building and striving rigorously to underscore the rich history, tradition and legacy of the Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity House.

Prior to the initiation of work, we asked our talented friend, Photographer Cheston Bogue, to document the existing conditions of the building to set the baseline for the improvements we will soon make. The images captured the wear and tear of hundreds of students over the years who have made lifelong memories within the walls of this classic building. We were excited to have had the opportunity to document the quirky traces of all who have enjoyed the house. Moreover, we are eager to breathe new life into the building. Let the games begin!
